Taxis normally wait beneath the historic train shed on the western, Bank Top side of the station. Follow the taxi signs from the platforms. If you are arriving very early or late, booking ahead is sensible.

A quieter wait on Platform 1

LNER's lounge offers seating, complimentary hot and cold drinks, light snacks, Wi-Fi, charging points, toilets and timetable screens. Eligible First Class ticket holders can use it before travelling.
